Happy New Year!
I hope that the new year is off to a great start for all of you. I always love the promise of a new year and hope that 2011 is a year that brings all of us closer to our dreams, those shared and those unspoken.
2011 promises to be a busy year for Amy. As many of you know, she is kicking off the year with a 20+ city tour with her dear friend Michael W. Smith. It has been over 20 years since Amy and Michael have done a non-holiday tour together and they are both so excited to hit the road for the “2 Friends Tour.” Hopefully we will see many of you at the shows, which promise to be a mixture of golden oldie hits and new music, with Amy and Michael sharing stories from the past 20 years. For those of you who are members of Friends Of Amy,we will indeed be holding “soundchecks” during this tour but please remember that space is limited and you need to sign up soon. For those of you who are interested in attending a soundcheck but are not members of FOA, please consider signing up soon. I think those members who have attended soundchecks in the past can attest to how fun it is to get to see Amy and the band rehearse and Amy makes it a point to make the soundchecks as personable and intimate as possible.
In addition to the “2 Friends Tour,” Amy will also be part of several “Women Of Faith” events in 2011, starting with the first event in Las Vegas on April 30th. Amy has always enjoyed her time with the Women of Faith organization and is looking forward to sharing the stage and being part of these incredibly inspiring weekends.
We will be adding additional concert dates throughout the summer and into next fall…and possibly another Christmas tour! In between all of the touring, Amy is going to begin working on a new recorded project that we will share details about when we can.
I will try to remember to update this blog more often. I confess that Facebook has become such an easy way to reach people with information that I have let this blog falter in the past year, but my goal is to use this forum more often in 2011 than I have in the past.
More to come…
