    It is Christmas Eve in south Mexico. There are lights everywhere. Pinatas will be broken and families will get together and celebrate. It is very warm here. The only snowmen are made of plastic. I will eat the traditional dinner tonight with the Mexican family with whom I live. Christmas continues here until January 6th known as the Day of the Kings. I do miss some of the festivities from north of the border, but Christmas comes wherever we are. I was listening to Amy sing Little Town and Emmanuel on youtube. I also heard Breath of heaven. What wondweful songs. Feliz navidad to all of you from sunny south Mexico. michael

    Amy, I’m 41 & have been listening to Breath of Heaven for the many, many years since it was released (longer than either of us probably care to admit! Hehehe). That is one of very few songs that reduces me to mush everytime I hear it, (no offense) but not because of your incredible talent delivering the piece but because of how poinently that song points to Jesus. There’s a brokenness that can be felt within the song, relaying relevantly and poinently the doubt and fear that must have run through Mary – yet we all share those same feelings of doubt and disbelief that He would even consider us and yet He does. Every time I listen to that song, I am instantly transported into The Lord’s lap, if you will. Worship of the Lord Jesus Christ is immediate the second I hear the opening synths/strings. Timeless; utterly timeless. Thank you for being receptive to His Spirit and using the vast talent He’s so obviously blessed you with, Amy. The testimony is huge as to how He’s used you as a blessing in so many people’s lives. Merry Christmas!!

    Thanks for posting the lyrics to this beautiful song.
    The music and the lyrics are both so powerful.
    We traveled to Israel, and I stood inside the empty tomb.
    This song takes on a whole new meaning having actually stood in so many
    places in Israel.
    This is not just a nice story…it’s THE greatest story of all time.
    Jesus coming to this earth, living and giving His life for us…so that we might live with Him
    for eternity!
    He is the true reason for the season:)
    I was at the Christmas show in Nashville, Tn. this year, and it was so amazing.
    I never get tired of hearing you sing this incredible song.

    I first heard this song at a Christmas service given by youth at a Methodist church. A blind girl with a very pure innocent voice sang this song and there was not a dry eye in the church. It was SO BEAUTIFUL! Every time I hear this song on the radio or hear someone else sing it, I think of that teenage girl singing it and remember that Mary must have been about her age. God is so good.
