What separates you from many stars is that you take the time to discuss what brought you to write or record your songs. Don’t ever lose that magic quality. You connect to each one of your fans and give such relevance to each song, that we appreciate them even more when we hear them. Your songs never get old, in fact they mean more with every new experience we have during our lives. God Bless you and your family. And Sara is truly on the right path with your guidance. Warmest regards, Larry Waldorf – Staten Island, N.Y. Debbie O. Fennell Amy, I love this song. You are so right, the harder you struggle towards something, the better it is when you finally achieve it. I think our struggles is what defines us as the person we become. Sarah has a very unique and beautiful voice. I know you’re very proud. Thanks for the music. Kathy I love, love, love this song! It so describes my life last year. I lost my job, spent most of last year searching and not finding a job, being frustrated and depressed much of the time, but trying to enjoy the time off, cuz it’ll be short lived. Knowing the God will put me in the job when it’s right. Then in January it came along! While I was in LA at my nephew’s wedding, I get the call! What a blessing and relief! I truly do appreciate my job more, since I had to work to get it. Not taking the simple things for granted. Thank you, thank you, thank you for recording this with your daughter! The perfect blend of your voices! http://www.amygrant.com Joan I echo everyone’s comments, not only is it true and relevant, but it is musically catchy and sticks in your head. It also serves as a nice counterbalance to some of the heavier songs on the record being sweet and light hearted. Natalie When I first heard this song it was on Doug & Kim when Amy was promoting her album. I was on my way to work at my temporary job. This song really spoke to me because I have been looking for a job since I got laid off from my previous job, it had been close to one year. I think this song kinda reminded me to not give up and just keep doing the best that I can do. I recently finished out the temporary job, and now it’s on to look for a different job. I’m praying that I find one soon, but I know that I need to keep working at it and not give up. Thank you for singing such a beautiful song and it being so special to sing with your daughter. http://Facebook Rosa Diaz Hi Amy, Thank you for this album. The songs came at the right moment for me. It’s not easy being a single mom, but I am waiting on the Lord and I know he will see me through. Your songs have always inspired me since my early years in college. And this album is just wonderful. It’s truly a blessing. Overnight is by far my favorite. James Turner Dear Amy, WOW…how poignant and relevant to my current disposition this song is. You have know idea that you wrote this song for me! A week prior to the release of this album, I resigned from my job and asked all the questions you deliver in the song. How the message hits home. I’m a grad student trying to revel in beauty that is “not knowing” what today or tomorrow holds but trusting that Christ will see His plan to fruition in my life. Thanks for all you do, I’ve loved your music and message ever since I was 7; some day I just might have the opportunity to me you. Great album…as always, that goes without saying! Francis Ortalla Hi Amy, I’m a big fan of yours here in the Philippines. Though some of our albums had not reached our country, I continue to search for your songs and listen to them online. I came across the song “Overnight” and the lyrics just strucked me. Especially the first stanza.. So, you’ve handed in your resignation, contemplatin’ why nothin’ turns out right. A little fed up with all the disappointments, so what’s the point in wastin’ any time? It’s only temporary, so what’s your hurry? No need to worry. Don’t you know that, These really speaks my thoughts and feelings right now. Thank you for these song. It gave me the courage and the strength to move on each day. Your songs had touched me for years. My all time favorite is “Simple Things”. I always listen to this song first thing in the morning. It gives such positivity and makes me feel good and be thankful for my blessings. As I always say… Thanks to Amy Grant for her songs as she saved me from my darkest moments in my life.
