I apologize for the delay and the lack of updates while Amy was in Africa, but she lost her iphone early in the trip and never "phoned home," so to speak. Anyway, we will be posting a personal blog from Amy recapping her experience in Africa as well as lots of photos in the days to come….

Wow! What amazing words (loved the pics, too, but was captivated by your words)! You really ‘hit the nail on the head’ with what you said about technology. It can by very stressful and overwhelming, but more than that it can be soooo disconnecting. Nothing can replace a hug or time spent face-to-face with another. I have many friend who cannot believe I am not on Facebook…my answer…I am doing the best I can to maintain my current relationships (well). I can’t imagine opening my circle even wider at this point. We all need to take a step back and let the people we care about ‘know’ we care, not stretch ourselves thin and have regrets later. Hope you enjoyed your walk (Blackberry free)! As a mother of three boys, I know the importance of those walks and how those bugs are the greatest gift ever put in front of a little guy’s face! Take care.
