Home sweet home….

As much fun as it was to be out on the road the past two weeks, it felt really good to get home, unpack, and sleep in a bed that wasn't on 18 wheels.  Today I woke up, made a pot of coffee, got Braden off to school and came to the office to uncover my desk and deal with all the emails I didn't have time for last week.  It felt good to get back into the routine of things yet I wish I could twinkle my nose and be in Portland tonight for the show.  I miss the energy of the shows and life on the road.

We will be unveiling a few new things on Amygrant.com in the days/weeks to come so make sure to check back often.  We are LISTENING to your comments and concerns and hope to unveil some new features that will make amygrant.com a great community to be a part of and to visit often.

Thanks to all of you who wrote sweet comments and words of encouragements about the Lead Me On tour.  Please continue to spread the word to others… this show is one I'd hate for people to miss.

More to come…

Welcome home! Isn’t your own bed the best when you’ve been away? I love that feeling.
Thanks again for the wonderful job you all did with the tour. It was a night to remember.
    Enjoy your catch up!

Again, thanks for all you do to keep us connected. Though I don’t live near a place the tour will visit, I’m enjoying it vicariously through your notes…

Jen, we were in the 2nd row on the opposite side of the seating from you at the Morgan Hill concert. At one point I looked over a noticed this incredibly cute little boy really dancing up a storm and waving at Amy. Then I saw you and realized he must be your son…confirmed by your earlier blog entry. Too cute!!

  • Nanette

    Hi Jen,
Any chance of the new things coming to the site being any of the merchandise from the shows? I forgot to pick up some stuff at the Morgan Hill show. By the way, your son’s shirt was “sweet”!

  • Roberta

Sending tons of hugs your way!!! Thanks again for always being there for Amy and all of us! And give Amanda a great big hug because she is the best! God bless every one of you!

I had a front row seat in Modesto. Amy looked like she had a blast and really rocked it! I’m so bummed I can’t make any more shows. It was really fun to see Braden playing percussion with Kim!

Hi Jennifer, too bad we missed you at the Redmond, WA show last night. The concert was flipping amazing! Officially my first Amy concert, so I was curious to see how well she performs onstage. She sounded awesome, especially her performance of What About the Love! I got to meet and talk to her at the FOA soundcheck. The group was small so she pulled us onstage for the Wise Up sound check. She’s everything I expected – engaging, comfortable, personable, beautiful! My only disappointment was the lack of crowd participation, with the exception of the small group of people sitting around me. We were on our feet, clapping, dancing, screaming. I seriously wanted to run throughout the audience and lite a fire under their butts! I felt so bad for Amy and the band – I could see they were somewhat disappointed too! But regardless, they gave their utmost, and again, the concert was amazing! Tell Amy “the guy who grew up in Hawaii and never saw her in concert until last night” says thank you for an amazing night and looks forward to more of her concerts in the future. Next time I’ll be sure to bring the bag of Lays potato chips!

I don’t really want to comment on this blog entry! I just want to contact someone at Amygrant.com but I can’t find any ‘contact’ details. Can anyone help?
My main question is about FOA and whether there’s a discount for overseas members. It seems unfair to pay the same as US members when Amy doesn’t (currently) tour abroad and therefore there is no chance of attending soundchecks etc.
I’d also love to be able to purchase ‘Colour My Day’ but again this isn’t possible for non-US fans. Any suggestions?

I was at the Portland show on Monday and it was so much fun. Thank you for all you’ve done to make it happen. (I’ve written to the band and to Amy as well…haha…just want you all to know how much I appreciate what you’re doing.) This was seriously the most I’ve enjoyed any concert I’ve ever attended. (I wrote in my blog about my evening if you’re interested: http://aprilcurtright.blogspot.com )
I also wanted to let you know that I’m enjoying the new website. I’m new to blogging, but am really enjoying it. I have a few blogs I’m “following” via my own, but when I tried to add yours, the band’s and Amy’s, I get an error message that says, there’s no feed detected (or something like that). Got any ideas? It would be great to easily see when there are new postings.
Thank you again. Get some rest and take care of that smiling little blonde soul God’s entrusted to you. He’s one lucky little boy!
