Beautiful night here on southern California. A good night for an outdoor fire and relaxation before another show.

Amy, I first saw you in El Paso, Texas. The Unguarded Tour! Wow, it seems like only yesterday. My mother even made me a leopard print jacket like the one you wore! Even though I am not a ‘textbook’ Christian, your music has inspired me in countless ways over the years, and I have been a fan ever since. Thank you for sharing your gift. I am looking forward to your concert in Escondido tomorrow night. Yeehaw!!

Yippee! Finally we are so excited to see you tonight! It is my dear Grandmas b-day and we are taking her to see you! My Grandpa was just diagnosed with lung cancer and we are hoping this will lift her spirits. I know your music has always got me through some tough times too. If you remember can you sing a little Happy B-day to Pat smith! Much obliged!

Sounds like the band is holding up well, especially with the no heavy eating policy after shows. 😉 See you in Morgan Hill tomorrow — looking forward to seeing what you all bring to the table. Can’t wait!

As I entered the venue in Escondido last night, I was amazed how many older, fragile-looking folks there were. I turned to a stranger and said, do these folks have any idea that Amy Grant is going to ‘rock’ the house tonight? I wondered if they’d be able to survive the powerful, rockin’ music of Lead Me On. As you were playing the last number of your encore, I looked back at the audience and I saw elderly folks standing up moving their heads to your music, dancing and swaying. I guess they showed me! I hope when I have gray hair I will still be able to do all that at your concerts. Thanks for a beautiful trip down memory lane (most especially for inviting us to stand up…I was so afraid I would need to be polite and sit all night)!
