Best laid plans….

So, my goal all week long has been to go down to rehearsal and hear the band and take pictures to post for the website….  And here it is, Friday, and I have yet to darken the door of the rehearsal hall.

On Tuesday morning I took my three year old son, Braden, to the doctor for his annual check-up.  While we were there the doctor suggested that I give him a flu mist to prevent him from getting the flu this season.  He is notoriously HEALTHY and has only had 2-3 colds or ear infections in his entire life, but I opted to say yes.  Since then he has been sick as a dog…   Go figure.

All that to say, I’ve been working from home with a sick boy all week and have not had a chance to get to a rehearsal (nor was a willing to possibly spread germs to Amy and the band).  If you have read Amy’s blog you are up to speed on how excited she is about playing with these players again and pulling out all the stops on this material.  She is so energized and inspired!  And apart from the Lead Me On tour, the creative energy she feels right now is making its way into the writing of a new batch of REALLY good songs.  It’s been a long time since I have heard her this excited about making music!

We will be making some other fun announcements on the website in the next day or two so keep checking back in frequently.  Time for me to get back to the infirmary! :)

More to come…

Jen

(P.S. Justin took pictures at rehearsal for me and is planning on posting them on his Road Blog very soon!)

So sorry your little boy is sick. As a mom, it’s hard to see, isn’t it? Hope he feels better quickly.
    Thanks for the update. :)

You take care of your son, Jenn. That’s more important than posting pictures. Praying Braden recovers quick for your sanity!

    Hey Jen,
I hope Braden feels better and that you don’t catch it.

    Jen:
You poor thing, gosh isn’t it funny how they say that something is going to prevent the flu, and then you get it worse than if you didn’t even take the shot or the mist. I feel for your son. I sure know what it feels like to have the flu. MISERABLE. I hope things get better before you all travel.. Looking forward to meeting you. I hope that Amy will pick the song NEVER GIVE YOU UP, OFF OF HER FATHERS EYES ALBUM. I put in the request, but just wanted to reinterate it. Best wishes to all.

Hope your son is feeling better!
Question for you: Are Amy’s concerts recorded? Amy sang a song for me a couple of months ago at a concert and I’m looking for the intro that she gave. Thanks!
