Knowing that the rest of the year is going to be extremely busy between the "Lead Me On Anniversary Tour" and the Amy and Vince "Christmas" tour, I decided to sneak away to the beach for a few days this week with my son and a few good friends. That being said, I thought I would still try to keep you up to speed a bit with what is going on with Amy. Fortunately in this day and age of high tech gadgets and internet connection, even though my toes were in the Atlantic ocean most of the day, I was still able to get a lot of work done…
Rehearsals start next Monday for the "Lead Me On Anniversary Tour" and so Amy/band/crew are all gearing up for that. In addition to tour preparations, Amy is busy writing songs for her next album which we plan to start recording in January. She has been writing a lot of songs these past few months and is excited about getting back into the studio and creating something fresh and new. We are still talking about production/style direction for the new project.
Amy is also participating in an ACM dinner to honor Brenda Lee this week. Brenda’s agent called me two weeks ago and said that Brenda had specifically asked if Amy could sing "Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree" (a song that Brenda made famous) and Amy was glad to do it.
I"m still waiting to see a first cut of the "She Colors My Day" video. I’ve been told it will be this week. We will post a snippet or a few photos as soon as we can.
It’s late here so I’m going to end my ramblings for now…
